The main research direction is myocardial microvascular injury. As the project leader, he successively undertook 5 National Natural Science Foundations, won 1 First Prize for Military Medical Achievements, 1 First Prize for National Science and Technology Progress, and 1 First Prize for Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province , 1 second prize of Chinese Medical Science and Technology, 2 invention patents, 10 utility model patents; "Silver Award" for educating talents in military academies. The editor-in-chief or deputy editor-in-chief has published 11 monographs and more than 500 papers. He has published more than 100 papers in high-level cardiovascular journals such as Eur Heart J, Cardiovasc Res and other SCI-collected journals, and has successively trained nearly 100 masters and doctors. Served as the deputy editor or editorial board member of many core journals in China.

It is at the leading domestic level in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult cardiovascular diseases, interventional diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, arrhythmia drug treatment, and hypertension drug treatment.
