Gather the wisdom of human life sciences and synchronize with international advanced diagnosis and treatment levels! On July 15th, the "Convergence and Synchronous Innovation - First International Medical Summit Forum", supported by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, hosted by the Shaanxi Research Hospitals Association, and organized by the Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, was held in Xi'an, aiming to focus on scientific research innovation and technological progress in the medical field and seek a future of human health.

This summit is a two-day event with the theme of "Convergence and Synchronous Innovation", divided into the main forum and seven sub forums. Zhou Xianzhi, Executive Vice President of the China Research Hospital Association, Yao Hongjuan, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, Li Yuqi, Secretary of the Party Group of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Association, Cao Hui, Full time Vice President of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Chen Zhao, Chairman of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Xi Hong, President of the Shaanxi Health Education Promotion Association, and Li Xiaolan, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Xi'an High tech Zone, Huang Bin, the inspector of the Medical Affairs and Medical Administration Bureau of the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission, Liang Xiaozhen, the deputy director of the Medical Affairs Department of the Xi'an Municipal Health Commission, Biju Samkutty, the chief operating officer of the International Department of Mayo Clinic, and experts from well-known medical institutions such as Zhongshan Hospital, Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xijing Hospital, Tangdu Hospital, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University were invited to attend. The meeting was presided over by He Xijing, President of the Shaanxi Research Hospital Association.


International Medical President Liu Ruixuan, Vice President Sun Wenguo, Vice President and Secretary Ding Zhen, Financial Director Wang Yaxing, leaders of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, and medical staff from various specialized hospitals and departments, totaling more than 800 people attended.


At the opening ceremony, Yin Qiang, the director of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the guests present! He said that, as the second "member hospital of Miaoyou Medical Alliance" in China, the hospital fully integrated its advantageous resources, carried out close learning, exchange and cooperation with Mayo Clinic, and significantly improved its diagnosis and treatment level and service ability.

At the main forum, Ding Zhen, Vice President and Secretary of International Medicine, delivered a brilliant keynote speech on organizational structure, talent team, facilities and equipment, and development history.

Biju Samkutty, COO of Mayo Clinic International Department, Han Guohong, Executive Dean of Digestive Hospital of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, and Wang Qun, leader of thoracic surgery discipline of Zhongshan Hospital, delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony, bringing broad perspectives and inspiration to the participants.


The academic forum also invited many well-known experts and scholars to share relevant hot topics such as subject construction, scientific research innovation, application transformation and iterative upgrading, industry trends and future development through keynote speeches. The topics covered disciplines such as cardiovascular, respiratory, thoracic, digestive, oncology, brain, nursing, etc. Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary academic exchanges have played a fusion and inspiring role in promoting medical innovation and clinical practice, and enhancing patient well-being.

It is reported that on December 8, 2021, Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital and Mayo Clinic officially signed a cooperation agreement to become a member hospital of Mayo Clinic. With the goal of improving medical services for patients, the hospital has established close clinical collaboration with Mayo Clinic. Clinicians actively use the eConsults tool provided by Miaoyou Medical to directly discuss specific cases with Miaoyou experts. In 2022 alone, we have used eConsults to provide comprehensive and reasonable treatment suggestions and Evidence-based medicine evidence for more than 60 patients.


The "Mayo Clinic Health Knowledge Base" of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital has recently been launched on the hospital's official website, both PC and mobile, covering various aspects such as health knowledge popularization, introduction of common diseases, nutritional guidelines, chronic disease prevention and treatment, and health management. It provides a channel for the general public to obtain health knowledge.

This summit forum is the first milestone meeting of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital with the theme of "convergence, synchronization, and innovation".
