The "Listening to Examples Outside the Chest" lecture tour is hosted by the China Association for Health Promotion and Education and has been held for four sessions. Over the past four years, more than 60 lectures have been conducted throughout the country, with participation from over a hundred thoracic surgery departments in hospitals.
The 2024 competition was initiated by the Guangdong Chest Disease Society, covering 21 provinces and 118 hospitals across the country, with nearly 600 experts participating. The competition is divided into three stages: regional tour, national tour, and shining examples. The top scholars in thoracic surgery form a chairman expert group for assessment and scoring. The competing teams are all well-known excellent thoracic surgery teams in China.
After three rounds of selection, the thoracic surgery team of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital stood out from 52 teams and became one of the top five participating teams in the country, competing alongside Huashan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Union Medical College Hospital affiliated with Fujian Medical University, and Shenzhen People's Hospital.

On the same day, Zhou Jincai presented a speech titled "Overcoming Difficulties and Not Allowing a Potential Resectable Stage IIIB Non Small Cell Lung Cancer Case Clinical Practice and Reflection" at the Lung Cancer Case Speech Competition hosted by the Guangdong Chest Disease Society and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. With carefully prepared cases, excellent speech skills, and superb medical skills, the team received praise from experts and won the runner up.
This speech competition attracted nearly a hundred cases from dozens of domestic units to participate in the selection. The rigorous competition system places high demands on the team's diagnostic and treatment skills, as well as their understanding of relevant clinical research.
